Get All Areas Covered!

Need exercise but don’t have the machines to help you with? Why don’t you be a part of the American trend and get a membership at your local gym? Else, why don’t you bring the gym to you? Buying exercise equipments instead of going to the gym will save you a great deal of money to keep you fit and healthy. Besides, if you’ve lost your appetite for exercise, you can always sell them at second-hand price.

So, you bought gym equipments. But then, have you checked on what part of your body you need to enhance or conceal? If you already have, waste no time! Check on the list for some common problem areas and see how you can deal with it.

Arms

Flabby arms are a common sight during 40′s especially if you put on little more pounds than you have to. Try lifting dumb bells to tone your biceps or go for the elliptical machine which not only tones your biceps but also your leg and thigh muscles. You can also try lifting gallons of water at home. Just make sure they have equal weight on both sides.

Chest

Bench pressing will enhance your pecs. This will also improve biceps. You can also try push-ups, which is obviously very popular in the army. A no-fail exercise indeed because even high-ranking officials even include this in their workout routine.

Abs

For mothers with post-pregnancy tummies, there are a lot of exercises that you can try. You can do curl-ups to get rid of those love handles or get a stability ball. A stability ball is a really huge ball. Different kinds of exercises that involve the use of this ball are available, just ask your gym instructor or buy books or exercise videos to help you get ideas.

Buttocks

Dumb bells are also helpful when dealing with this problem area. Just stand tall, spread your legs and hold the dumb bells with the same weight on each of your hands. Slowly bend your knees downward. Then pick yourself up and stand tall. Your arms should be perpendicular to the ground. Squeeze the muscles in your buttocks as you go up and down.

Legs

A lot of gym equipment concentrate or at least have something to do with your leg muscles. You can try upright bikes, cycling bikes or any other similar indoor bikes for that matter. The popular treadmills will not only tone your thigh and leg muscles but can also improve your stamina and is a great exercise for people with heart ailments since it also triggers cardio. For a simple exercise that can give you good results too, try steppers. They’re like elliptical machines but you won’t need a lot of effort coming from your arms since this only has steppers for your feet which make you feel like your walking.
