I lost my treadmill safety key and i heard that a magnet would make it start up?
what kind of magnet and where can i purchase the magnet at???? Its a weslo treadmill
Well first off, thank you for asking such an interesting question. It’s not that often that I find people trying to restore such antique machines as they would junk it and buy a new one. I myself am a treadmill philanthropist and take an avid interest in repairing such astonishing machines. It all depends on the model and the length-to-width ratio of the wheels supporting the machine.
If you were planning on junking the machine, sure, you could go with just ANY magnet. But today’s market research shows that the general population seems to be moving towards trendier type magnets. I would try this one, I believe it works with all models. http://www.funkyfridge.com/EP-4661.html
If this does not resolve your issue try considering the fact that its called a SAFETY key for a reason.
