Weider Bell

Help with weightlifting.?

I wanna know about how long it will take to increase the weight on dumb bells . Im 15 yrs old, 5’11, on each hand can lift 25lbs max. i want to lift about 35-40lbs on each hand. Bench press i can do only 75lbs:(
Also how long will it take to be able to bench press about 140lbs. I workout every day for about 4-6hrs a day doing as many push-ups,bench press reps, and dumbell reps. as i can do.

i own the weider 150 bench press…. I forgot to mention i weigh 124lbs. I try to gain weight by eating a lot of foods with a lot of calories but nothing happens. I guess i have a very high metabolism.

Whats a routine or shedule i should do because i have been told by many people that people should not work out everyday.

For one thing, you’re working out waaaay to much. Workouts should not exceed an hour and often will be even less than this. You should lift heavy weights somewhere in the 4-8 rep range for a good combination of strength and hypertrophy, one to two exercises (max) for each muscle group. Also, you don’t need to lift every day, your body needs time to rest and recover (this is when muscle is actually built). One of the big newbie mistakes is having far too much volume in their workouts and can very soon hit a wall in their training. More doesn’t mean better, you should trust quality over quantity, especially if you’re a hardgainer.

So, keep the volume down, try working out only one exercise per bodypart, three to four sets each, 4-8 reps to failure on the last set, for a few weeks and see how that gets you. You can then start adjusting your workout to see what works and what doesn’t. Keep the high calories coming in, eat every 2-3 hours all the macronutrients (carbs, proteins, fats). If you’re still not gaining weight, eat even more. Each week increase your daily caloric intake by 10% until you start gaining weight. Dodge all the junk food and stick with the healthy stuff. Remember that muscles have to build from what we give it and if we give it junk that’s what we get.

Try working out every third day on each muscle group, have a split in your routine. Don’t neglect your legs and back either, these are your largest muscle groups and will release a lot of GH when you work on them. You also don’t want to look asymmetrical.
