Does Building Muscle Burn Fat?
I’m not overweight by any means. The BMI calculator says that I’m at a “healthy” weight. The fact of the matter is, I’d like to tone up to see what I’d look like and then add more muscle if I deem necessary. I just bought the Weider Total Body Works 5000, which is a resistance trainer. Any thoughts on how this will work out or if a diet is required to drop about 5-7 pounds and tone up?
muscle weighs about 4x more than fat, but the bigger you’re muscles are, the higher your metabolism will be, the more fat you’ll burn.
